Stories worth your evening
Ebooks and audiobooks from independent authors, listed in dollars and shown to you in your own currency — so the price on the cover is the price you pay.
What do you feel like reading?

Narrated editions, most with a free sample you can play before buying.
Find your shelf
Every genre here has books in it right now. Pick one and the store opens already filtered.
A bookshop that works where you are
Most stores are built for one country and one currency, and everyone else does the conversion in their head. This one is built the other way round.
Prices in your own currency
Books are listed in US dollars and converted to your local currency the moment the page loads, using the day’s rate. You see what you will actually pay before you reach checkout — no working it out yourself, and no surprise at the payment screen.
Listen before you buy
Every audiobook can carry a free sample clip, playable straight from the store without an account. Narrator and running time are on the listing, so you know whose voice you are committing hours to.
Read in the browser, keep it for good
Bought books open in the built-in reader on any device and remember where you stopped. Your library is tied to your account rather than to an app or a file, so nothing is lost when you switch phone or laptop.
Reviews from people who bought the book
Ratings come from verified purchases and are checked by a moderator before they go live. A book’s score is the average of the reviews that passed — not a number an author can inflate.
What readers are saying
Why readers and authors choose Inkcrest.
“Every other store makes me open a converter in another tab. Here the price is already in naira when the page loads, and it is the same number at checkout.”

“Being able to hear the narrator before paying changed how I buy audiobooks. I have skipped two I would otherwise have regretted and found one I have listened to twice.”

“I published two titles and the royalties landed in my own bank account. Not a payment processor I had to sign up to separately — my actual bank.”

“I start on my laptop at lunch and carry on from my phone on the bus, and it always opens on the right page. That is the whole reason I stopped buying files.”

“Cover, chapters, categories, price — done in one sitting, with a progress bar that actually told me what was happening during the upload.”

Publish once. Sell in every currency we support.
You keep the rights, you set the price, and you choose the royalty split on each title. We handle the storefront, the currency conversion your readers see, the payment processing, and moving the money to your bank.
Publishing runs on a subscription, and the plans differ in what they let you do: how many titles you can have on sale, whether audiobooks are included, and how prominently your work sits in the store. You can see exactly what each one covers before you pay for any of it.
01Set up your author account
Register as an author and choose a publishing plan. Identity verification and your payout bank account are done once, and only matter when it is time to withdraw.
02Upload the book
Publish it as an ebook, an audiobook, or both together. Cover, chapters, categories and keywords go in through a guided form with a live progress bar on every upload.
03Price it and choose your split
You set the list price in US dollars and pick the royalty split and payout schedule for each book individually — different terms for different titles is fine.
04Get paid where you bank
Track sales and earnings per book in your dashboard, then withdraw once you clear the $10 minimum. Payouts go to local bank accounts across sixteen African countries, or by international transfer to the US, the UK and the euro zone.
